MEET JULIE
Hey! I'm Julie and I'm a 30-year-old dog-lover living in Seattle, Washington. I had my first baby back in August and I've been a busy mom ever since! I work full-time in tech by day and by night I'm a blogger, podcast host, and Etsy seller.
I created my blog, Millennial Boss, back in 2015 to record my student loan debt payoff journey. My husband and I paid off our student loans in less than 2 years and I wrote blog posts throughout the entire time of paying off the debt.
By mid 2016, we were done paying off our debt and I was looking for the next step with my blog. I realized that I could monetize the blog but didn't know where to start. I started researching affiliate marketing, display advertising, and sponsorships and became obsessed. Soon I grew the blog to make tens of thousands of dollars per year. In December of last year I crossed $7,000 in revenue for the month!
WHY START A SIDE HUSTLE NOW?

One example is a blog post that Julie wrote on DIY wedding flowers. She wrote a tutorial with pictures of how she spent less than $400 on her wedding flowers by going the DIY route with a specific flower company.
In the post, Julie linked to the exact flowers she purchased from the company's website and included a bunch of pictures as she was arranging the centerpieces and bouquets for the wedding.
